  16. I have also been trying to obtain the elusive comm.drv for Windows to 
  17. activate the error correction and compression features of my 14400 
  18. Zoltrix Modem.

  20. Does any one know:

  22. 1) who UMC is and how to contact them.

  24. 2) why they have released the chipset on the world with no software to 
  25. activate the features we bought them for (or if there is, DOS or Windows 
  26. I don't care, Please tell me where I can find it.)

  28. 3) why the box my Zoltrix modem came in says on the outside that it uses 
  29. RPI and when I get it home and open it it says UPI!!!  The Bitware 
  30. software it comes with says it supports the voice features of the chipset 
  31. by not compression/correction. I really wanted the compression/correction 
  32. - the voice was just and added bonus for me.

  35. The Zoltrix web site does not yet seem to have any info, and the 
  36. unofficial site has a great explanation of the situation (thanks to the 
  37. owner) but I still have not found any place to get the drivers.

  40. Any information that may be available would be greatly appreciated by 
  41. myself and a large number of other people.
