- Hello
-
- I have also been trying to obtain the elusive comm.drv for Windows to
- activate the error correction and compression features of my 14400
- Zoltrix Modem.
-
- Does any one know:
-
- 1) who UMC is and how to contact them.
-
- 2) why they have released the chipset on the world with no software to
- activate the features we bought them for (or if there is, DOS or Windows
- I don't care, Please tell me where I can find it.)
-
- 3) why the box my Zoltrix modem came in says on the outside that it uses
- RPI and when I get it home and open it it says UPI!!! The Bitware
- software it comes with says it supports the voice features of the chipset
- by not compression/correction. I really wanted the compression/correction
- - the voice was just and added bonus for me.
-
-
- The Zoltrix web site does not yet seem to have any info, and the
- unofficial site has a great explanation of the situation (thanks to the
- owner) but I still have not found any place to get the drivers.
-
-
- Any information that may be available would be greatly appreciated by
- myself and a large number of other people.
-
- Thanks,
-
